Traced vectors
About traced vectors - from now on we won't be accepting them.
The beginning of the new season sparked a surge of traced vectors. They aren't "bad", but most of the time they aren't really intresting, and these who trace them put no thought, no imagination, and not even a spark of originality to them. They might be a good excercise to get used to programs like Inkscape, and they might be useful for some people who assemble them into comics, or something like that, but it's nothing else, really.
Obviously, this goes for "pretending-to-be-vectors" as well.
There are other groups who accept, and collect them, e.g.
:iconvectorquestia:
:iconb-bob-vectorclub:
:iconmlp-fim-scenery: - it's exactly what it says on the tin
:iconmlp-svg-resources: - only elements of backgrounds
:iconponyscape-vectors: - vectors made in ponyscape only
:iconmlp-vectorclub: - "Elite club"
:iconi-ponyvectors: - original vectors only

Also, it doesn't help that some people say that tracing is art theft.

About screenshots...
I know that a majority of you is aware of that, but...
Simply speaking, submitting screenshots is art theft.
It applies to edited screenshots as well.
So, if you submit a screenshot, expect a ban per one strike, you're out rule. I know it's not a big punishment - this group is just one of many - but be aware of the possible result of your action.

Speaking of this, I'd like to clarify some misconceptions I encountered while working in this group.
1. If you buy a DVD with the show, and then you take a screenshot it DOESN'T make you the owner of this screenshot, and doesn't give you any copyrights/rights to earn on it etc.
2. If you assemble screenshots into a comic, it doesn't change the fact that they are screenshots. They don't stop being screenshots just because you put them together in MS Paint (or Gimp or any program you use).
3. Yes, it's easy to recognize a screenshot, especially when it's used together with elements added by someone.
4. It's still a sin to submit an edited screenshot.

And about the pony creator
Submitting ponies created in Pony Creator is pretty much an equivalent of submitting a screenshot.
Yes, it might be an exaggerated interpretation, but the pony creator is not allowed here nonetheless. Because Pony Creator is a game.

---
If any traced vector, screenshot, or pony creator picture slips through the moderation, then, well, mishaps sometimes happen, but it doesn't change anything in this group's policy.
